Dick Dasen Coverage
by Matt Singer on 11:42 am.
If you’ve been following the Dasen trial in Kalispell, you really need to know about New West’s in-depth coverage by the excellent Hal Herring. His latest piece on Dasen’s testimony is up now. If you haven’t followed the trial at all, here’s a brief synopsis: a Kalispell businessman, widely considered a pillar of the community, gave millions of dollars to young women in the Flathead, many of whom he was sleeping with at the time. He’s now being accused of prostitution among other crimes.
For the full story, I’d recommend checking all of New West’s coverage. Click here and scroll to the bottom. The story is a fascinating one.

Dick Dasen is to be sentenced 9-12-05 a.m.in the District Court of Judge Stadler. Dan Guzinski, the County prosecutor, and Amy Stoddard of Adult Parole and Probation have said that there are lots of letters requesting leniency for Dasen. The general public was not informed of the upcoming sentencing date until September 6, 2005 when Connie Guzman was interviewed on the KCSW evening news. You can reach Connie at 1-406-257-5738 or at her cel phone 406-250-2412.
I have been following this story with a parallel interest in the BTK Killer of Topeka, Kansas. They could be twins. Hopefully Dasen and his lawyer, and the “good ‘ol boys” won’t be able to dupe Kalispell, Montana.
